Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is chemically corroded, so it has better adhesion with the covering sheath material in the construction process. Polytetrafluoroethylene can be made into a variety of multi cavity structures, so that medical equipment has more channels, through which can be through the catheter, irrigation, steering cable, etc.

Bifurcation tubes – also known as sheaths – are most commonly used in fiber optic applications to protect these vulnerable communications devices. The excellent quality of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) protects optical fibers from abrasion and physical damage in many ways, without affecting transmission.
Wire coating – extruded on wires (usually splines), Teflon provides an ultra smooth surface to facilitate the wire through a narrow space.
Wire connection – heat shrinkable form, PTFE provides good electrical insulation and chemical resistance; these features are good for splicing, whether for design purposes or for field maintenance.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) wire harness is particularly widely used in automotive and aerospace industries, not only because of its insulation and protection properties, but also because of its temperature resistance.
3D printing – in this application, polytetrafluoroethylene is tubular because of its lubricity, which guides filaments to the die head to make parts or transport fluids. The finished material is chemically inert and can be identified by adding colors.
