PTFE TUBING

Ptfe is the most flexible of all fluoropolymer tubes provided. ALTAFLUOR®100 PTFE tubing has the widest temperature range of any fluoropolymer, resistant to highly corrosive liquids and gases, even at high temperatures. PTFE is the original Teflon (Teflon)® material first produced by E.INTESTine. Developed by dupont.Smooth surface finish and minimum coefficient of friction and lubricity make tubing, pipe or rod ideal for bushing or bearing applications.The translucent white may change.Tubing coil and reel lengths may be limited by batch size – please call to confirm available tubing lengths when ordering.

Polytetrafluoroethylene is a standard “translucent white” polytetrafluoroethylene tube that is nonflammable, has the widest temperature range of any plastic tube, and is manufactured with FDA compliant compounds. It has complete chemical inertia and low permeability, making it suitable for food, beverage, paint, adhesives, solvents, chemicals, low temperature materials, or as lighting or wire cover, PTFE is not used to transfer abrasive products). It also has excellent electrical and weather resistance and can be used with compression fittings.
Construction: smooth, FDA approved translucent white polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
Typical accessories: always verify the compatibility of the material with the fluid being transported. Acetal pipe fittings (injection pipe diameter), compression pipe fittings, nylon / Brass / stainless steel hose barb.
Temperature range: – 65 ℃ (- 275 ℃ f) to + 260 ℃ (500 ℃ f)
Details: unlike a typical hose, this material is measured on the outside diameter to accommodate fittings or compressors.
Cutting method: pipe shear – no reinforcement
