Besteflon’s PTFE tube 2 x 4 mm , also known as Bowden tube, is made of Virgin PTFE and is an ideal product for 3D printers, such as RepRap using 1.75 mm filament. We offer this tube in several popular colors.

It is produced under highly controlled conditions to provide consistent and reliable performance. The key PTFE properties suitable for 3D printers are high temperature use, service life, low friction-high slippage, easy cleaning and flexibility. It is a translucent color.

Please note: The continuous length provided depends on the size of the tubing. Although we do our best to ship your exact order quantity, please note that roll lengths over 20% may be shipped. The transport length tolerance is -0% / +20%. If the ordered continuous length is greater than the available length, we will contact you to verify the delivery length. Normally it is not fixed length but random production length range to reduce the waste rate.

  • Question: the difference between PTFE and PE tubes:

    Answer: the long-term heat-resistant temperature of polytetrafluoroethylene pipe can reach 280 ℃ and 320 ℃ instantly. But the polyethylene pipe’s heat resistance temperature is 150 ℃, already had the deformation.

    Secondly, the performance of corrosion resistance, PTFE pipe also has a significant advantage. No matter acid, alkali, reducing agent or oxidant, they can’t do anything else, while polyethylene pipes will be softened by acid with oxidizing properties.

    Third, polytetrafluoroethylene tube has high flame retardancy, it can only be ignited when the oxygen content can reach 95%. In general, there is no way to achieve this kind of environment. Therefore, under normal circumstances, it will not burn, and it will go out without fire. The polyethylene pipe will be ignited and ignited spontaneously.
