Besteflon’s convoluted PTFE hoses are manufactured with smooth, rounded, helical-shaped convolutions which help to promote easy cleaning and self-draining for the ultimate high purity, convoluted hose. Convoluted PTFE hoses offer a non-stick, helically-shaped inner core that minimizes pressure drops and simplifies cleaning. Question:Can it be used as a gasoline pipe?
Answer: Yes, high temperature rating.
Question: Can this be used for drinking?
Answer: Food grade PTFE tube is OK, but as a personal use, the cost is more expensive, relative to the general plastic straw will be harder.
Question: Can this be separated vertically?
Answer: I think you can. You may want to make a fixture so that the cracks are evenly distributed along the length (easier to do when passing through the tube) and use a fairly sharp blade (xacto or similar hobby razor blades will work). As for why, that will be a question only you can answer.
